Course Description: This workshop is for all levels of art makers. The focus of the
drawing and painting workshop will be on the development of personal vision - the excitement of
the journey, its pitfalls and triumphs.
Each participant will be encouraged to extend their work in their own way.
We will start with life drawing on the first two mornings, where we will explore various ways of
seeing. This sets the "scene" for and extends into painting.
Painting inspiration from the garden interior spaces, still life, model or larger landscape.
The basic elements of form, tone, line texture, colour and composition will be emphaised along with
the creative process. And the importance of 'play'.
A hard working but fun week in store!
Materials are your responsibility. A suggestion list will be enclosed with enrolment receipt.
Painting materials: Please bring your preferred media and supports (paper, canvas etc..), easel if
possible.
